  • How can you control the order of songs when importing them from limewire or ares?

Posted on February 15th, 2012 Support No comments

Question by Lane: How can you control the order of songs when importing them from limewire or ares?
When i download songs from ares.com, the order they do not go into my itunes library in the order of the album does. So is there a way i can control which song plays after which?

    Best answer:

    Answer by Clawgr
mp3′s can contain more info than the music itself… This info is called Metadata and can contain Artist, Album, Track,Title, Composer and comments… Some players are making the choice based on the metadata and not the filename…

But why do you load the songs in Itunes to play them?
    There are better mp3 players.

I recommend you to use winamp (which is free) and you can create playlists (which memorises the order too) and you can view and edit the metadata info too…

It has other useful functions too…

But if you are using itunes for syncronising with the ipod… Its kind of hard… You need to find an organiser of the metadata which does that job automatically and fixes the metadata info

12 Simple Weight Loss Tips for 2012

Beltsville, MD (PRWEB) February 13, 2012

Each New Year many Americans determine that this is the year, the year that they’re going to lose weight and finally meet their dress-size goals. While everyone knows healthy eating and exercise is the formula that takes them where they want to be, Vidazorb® chewable probiotics have come up with a few tips that will make losing the weight a little easier.

    1. Deal with food cravings. When a craving comes on, try to distract yourself—take a walk, write a couple of emails, make a phone call. After 20 minutes, reevaluate the situation. You may find that the craving has subsided.

    2. Snack healthy. Sometimes the craving won’t go away, so in those situations, seek out a healthy snack. Some of our favorite choices are air-popped popcorn, pistachios or Kamut® wheat puff cakes.

    3. Be a heavy drinker. Water is essential for keeping the body hydrated and we’re actually more likely to retain “water weight” by not drinking enough of it rather than by having too much. The needs of each person will be different, but the general recommended daily amount is 64oz.

    4. Less salt. Salt might be a big contributor to why the numbers on the scale aren’t going down. The average American consumes twice the amount the human body should have, leading to weight gain, bloating and the inability to lose stubborn pounds.

    5. More fiber. Fiber actually makes calories disappear. Since your body doesn’t digest it, fiber adds satisfying bulk to food. Also, it takes longer to work its way out of your system, meaning less hunger. Whole-wheat pasta or Kellogg’s All-Bran are great for fiber.

    6. Chew your probiotics. We’ve all been hearing about probiotics for overall health, this includes assisting with weight loss. An important part in losing weight is to ensure your digestive system is working properly. Although be careful, because popular methods of getting probiotics, such as eating yogurt, don’t always offer enough CFUs or can load on the calories, so try a supplement such as Vidazorb® chewable probiotics.

    7. Exercise: A little goes a long way. We recommend that you workout at least three times a week, but with busy schedules, it’s easy to miss a session. Try to plan out your week in advance, if you realize you won’t have time for three days, try breaking it down into shorter sessions. Even if you only get in 20 minutes, that’s better than nothing.

    8. Slow it down. Sometimes we mistake our fork for a shovel. Remember to eat slowly—this will allow your stomach time to let your brain know that you’re full. This will help decrease overeating. Try to put your fork down between bites, this should help buy some time.

    9. Get support. Obviously working with a nutritionist is a great way to stay on track, although if that isn’t an option, seek out the support of an online group, such as SparkPeople. It’s a great way to keep yourself accountable.

    10. Remember that diets are temporary. Losing weight isn’t about being on a diet, it’s about a lifestyle change. Instead of saying you’re on a diet, just say you’re changing up your lifestyle—it will keep you in the right mindset.

    11. Rest Up. Recent studies show that making sure you have plenty of sleep will play a big part in managing body weight, adding to the term “beauty rest”. Be sure to get at least seven hours a night.

    12. Cut out soda – This includes diet soda, too. It’s estimated that drinking 12 ounces of soda a day may add up to 15 pounds to your waist line every year. Try to replace it with water, if you can, and avoid drinking sugary beverages of any kind – even fake sugar.

Tharp Leads Walmart FLW Tour Season Opener on Lake Okeechobee Presented by Evinrude

Clewiston, Fla. (PRWEB) February 09, 2012

    Agouros Leads Co-Anglers

Link to photo of pro leader Randall Tharp

Does home-lake advantage play a role when 320 of the world’s best anglers gather to see who can find the heaviest four-day stringer of bass for a first-place cash prize of up to $ 125,000? Just look at the leaderboard of the season-opening Walmart FLW Tour on Lake Okeechobee presented by Evinrude.

EverStart pro Randall Tharp of Gardendale, Ala., crossed the stage Thursday with a five-bass limit weighing 33 pounds, 9 ounces to lead day one of the event. Tharp now holds a slim 2-ounce lead over Brandon McMillan of Clewiston, Fla., who caught five bass weighing 33-7. Add to the top-five anglers John Cox (third) of Debary, Fla., and freshly-out-of-retirement Roland Martin (fifth) of Naples, Fla., and you have a handful of anglers with intimate knowledge of Okeechobee leading the tournament’s full field of anglers from all across the United States, Canada, Spain and Japan.

“The wind blew 15 to 20 (miles per hour),” Tharp said. “So I adjusted. And that’s just something you know how to do from fishing here. A lot of the guys here have put all their eggs in one basket.”

Even though he’s not a Floridian, Tharp said his familiarity with the lake gave him an edge on the first day of competition.

“I was going out there to catch a 40-pound sack, to be honest,” Tharp said. “I probably had 20 bites today. Ten of them were big ones. And by big ones I mean 5 pounds or better.”

Tharp said his first bite didn’t come until about 9 a.m. but was well worth the wait. That bite came from a bass weighing almost 10 pounds. By 10 a.m. Tharp was culling his small fish.

Tharp said the wind would dictate where anglers would be able to fish on the second day of competition and it would continue to be a “game of adjustments” for the anglers.

“The weather made it horrible on me,” McMillan said. “It made it tough to flip through the mat and make the bait fall the way you need to make it fall.

“It wasn’t like the Okeechobee that I was used to fishing,” McMillan added. “I figured 20 or 24 pounds would be a good sack. I figured someone would bust 30, but I didn’t figure I would do it.”

Rounding out the top 10 pros after day one on Lake Okeechobee are:

3rd:    John Cox, Debary, Fla., five bass, 27-10

4th:    Art Ferguson III, St. Clair Shores, Mich., five bass, 26-12

5th:    Roland Martin, Naples, Fla., five bass, 26-4

6th:    Steve Kennedy, Auburn, Ala., five bass, 26-1

7th:    Todd Auten, Lake Wylie, S.C., five bass, 24-4

8th:    Glenn Browne, Ocala, Fla., five bass, 21-11

9th:    National Guard pro Justin Lucas, Guntersville, Ala., five bass, 21-9

10th:    Matt Peters, Cotter, Ark., five bass, 21-6

For a full list of results visit FLWOutdoors.com.

Tharp caught Thursday’s big bass weighing 9-8 on the pro side to win $ 500.

Overall there were 724 bass weighing 1,813 pounds, 12 ounces caught by pros Thursday. The catch included 121 five-bass limits.

Pros are competing for a top award of up to $ 125,000 this week plus valuable points in the hope of qualifying for the 2013 Forrest Wood Cup presented by Walmart, the world championship of bass fishing. The top five anglers in the point standings from the four Walmart FLW Tour Open tournaments will qualify.

Spiro Agouros of Peterborough, Ontario, leads the Co-angler Division with five bass weighing 20-2 followed by Ralph Myhlhousen of Council Bluffs, Iowa, in second place with five bass weighing 18-1.

Rounding out the top 10 co-anglers are:

3rd:    Mike Daley, Springfield, Ill., five bass, 17-6

4th:    Robert Gulley, Tupelo, Miss., five bass, 16-12

5th:    Derek Savage, Port St. Lucie, Fla., five bass, 16-8

6th:    Aymon Wilcox, Lauderdale Lakes, Fla., five bass, 16-5

7th:    Wayne Lloyd, Lake Worth, Fla., five bass, 15-14

8th:    John Hendry, Lakeland, Fla., five bass, 15-2

9th:    Jeffrey Cummins, Marion, Ohio, five bass, 14-13

10th:    Marlon Crowder, Tampa, Fla., five bass, 14-5

For a full list of results visit FLWOutdoors.com.

Daley and Agouros tied for Thursday’s big bass with fish weighing 8-1 in the co-angler division. They each received $ 125.

Overall there were 477 bass weighing 925 pounds, 7 ounces caught by co-anglers Thursday. The catch included 49 five-bass limits.

Co-anglers are fishing for a top award of $ 25,000 this week plus valuable points that could help them qualify for the 2013 Forrest Wood Cup presented by Walmart. The top five co-anglers in the point standings from the four Walmart FLW Tour Open tournaments will qualify.

Del Monte Ave. in Clewiston at 7:30 a.m. Friday morning and from the Clewiston Boat Basin at 7:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday morning. • MyTownInsurance.com Reveals the Five Reasons Why the Captive Insurance Agent Distribution Channel is Dying

Posted on February 12th, 2012 Support No comments

MyTownInsurance.com Reveals the Five Reasons Why the Captive Insurance Agent Distribution Channel is Dying

Ft. Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) February 09, 2012

During the past three decades beginning in 1990 and ending in 2010, the top ten property and casualty carriers have changed in more ways than just identity and position. A closer look also reveals changes in the types of distribution channels used by the top ten carriers. In 1990 four of the top ten carriers exclusively used the captive agency distribution channel. By 2000, two of these four also used either a direct or independent channel to stay in the top ten. By 2010 only State Farm to their credit remained exclusively faithful to the captive agency distribution channel.

Accelerating the captive’s demise in 2011, number two AllState purchased the direct writer Esurance, i.e. that cute pink haired cartoon girl, from White Mountains Insurance thus allowing it to more aggressively compete against its own captives in the on line insurance arena

There is even more evidence that confirms the fact that the captive agency distribution channel is dying. In this four part report, MyTownInsurance.com will not only explain the suspected causes for this trend but also provide some valid reasons why it needs to be reversed, and then offer some recommendations on how this can be accomplished.

    The Five Reasons are…

    Heavy Handed Regulatory Policies

Technology now favors the Direct Writers and the Independent Agency Distribution Channels

The Big TOMA Disconnect in Insurance Internet Marketing

The Captive’s Operating Expense Ratios have historically been higher than Direct Writers and the Independent Agency Channels

Consumer Comparative Shopping Habits continue to grow as Their Brand Loyalty Shrinks and Their Group Loyalty Increases

    1. Heavy Handed Regulatory Policies

Underwriting practices influenced by politically motivated regulatory policies have limited both the independents and the captive carrier’s ability to offer all of the primary lines of insurance in every major geographic market.

The insurance industry got its first wakeup call regarding managing its PML (Probable Maximum Loss) Exposure in 1992 after hurricane Andrew made shore in Homestead Florida. Unfortunately after another 12 years of coastal growth and carrier indecisiveness 2004 proved itself to be an industry 5 bell alarm, hitting the US with 3 very destructive storms followed by 2 more in 2005, with hurricane Katrina being the deadliest of them all, as well as one of the costliest with $ 81 billion in damages. The end result was a more aggressive approach to both rate hikes and underwriting restrictions along the coastal areas. Obviously this did not sit well with the Gulf States insured’s and their state legislators, especially as everyone was riding the big real estate bubble which had not yet popped.

State legislators feeling the heat seemed to totally forget that if left to the invisible hand of supply and demand, saner rates and underwriting practices would prevail. Instead, even some of the basic understandings about property and flood insurance where throw under the bus and rates we’re artificially rolled back. This action further hastened the mass exodus of the well-funded and highly rated property carriers from the Gulf States, with Florida feeling the biggest void. As the old saying goes, “Capital doesn’t go where it’s not appreciated.” Or in other words, no one is going to invest in a high risk low return opportunity!

Now in 2012 Gulf States legislators are still dealing with the shortage of financially strong property insurers that are willing to reenter the markets because of their inability to charge what they know to be actuarially sound rates for coastal exposures. Smaller state specific admitted property carriers have been going under at record rates for basically the same reason. Well known captive carriers that once thrived with the ability to offer all lines of insurance to their insured’s, now find themselves rethinking their long term business models, no longer being able to offer all core lines in every state of operation. A case in point is the 2012 remake of the familiar State Farm logo. In addition to a more up to date look, gone are the words Auto, Fire and Life from the center of the three ovals. Even if this omission was coincidental, it still sends the same subtle message to the public, i.e. State Farm can no longer meet the consumer’s every insurance need in every state.

As this report series continues more details about the other causes for the demise of the captive agency distribution channel will be provided. Until then learn more about one of the solutions to help stop the demise of the captive agency channel at MyTownInsurance.com. Agents can claim a free verified individual listing for every line of insurance they sell. By doing so they’ll be able to receive free insurance leads of the highest quality simply because the consumer is expecting a comparative quote from them personally!
